As a local community pharmacy owner, Tyler believes pharmacy is about building strong relationships, supporting families, and serving as a dependable healthcare resource within the community.
Growing up in the rural farming town of Oakesdale in Eastern Washington, Tyler developed a deep appreciation for small-town values, hard work, and the importance of personal connection. After attending Walla Walla Community College, where he played baseball, he continued his education at Washington State University, earning both his Biology degree and Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2013.
Tyler and his wife Amy later made Vashon Island their home and purchased Vashon Pharmacy in 2017, where they have remained dedicated to creating a welcoming, family-oriented environment for their patients and neighbors. Tyler’s philosophy centers on providing accessible, compassionate care while maintaining the personal touch that defines independent pharmacy.
He believes community pharmacies should be deeply connected to the people they serve, offering trusted healthcare guidance alongside genuine relationships that strengthen the fabric of the local community.
